The easiest way to install CodeEx AI on Android
Open CodeEx AI in Chrome
Navigate to codeex-ai.netlify.app in your Chrome browser
💡 Make sure you're using the latest version of Chrome
Look for the Install Prompt
Chrome will show an 'Add to Home screen' banner at the bottom
💡 If you don't see it, tap the menu (⋮) in the top right
Tap 'Add to Home screen'
Or select 'Install app' from the Chrome menu
💡 You might see 'Install CodeEx AI' instead
Confirm Installation
Tap 'Install' in the confirmation dialog
💡 The app will be added to your home screen automatically
Success!
Once installed, you'll find CodeEx AI on your home screen with its own icon. It will open in full-screen mode without browser controls.

Firefox
- 1. Open CodeEx AI in Firefox
- 2. Tap the menu (⋮) in the top right
- 3. Select 'Add to Home screen'
- 4. Confirm by tapping 'Add'
Microsoft Edge
- 1. Navigate to CodeEx AI in Edge
- 2. Tap the menu (⋯) at the bottom
- 3. Select 'Add to phone'
- 4. Choose 'Add to Home screen'
Samsung Internet
- 1. Open CodeEx AI in Samsung Internet
- 2. Tap the menu button
- 3. Select 'Add page to' → 'Home screen'
- 4. Tap 'Add' to confirm
iOS Installation (iPhone/iPad)
Safari Browser (Required)
iOS only supports PWA installation through Safari
Open Safari
Navigate to codeex-ai.netlify.app in Safari browser

Look for the share icon (square with arrow) at the bottom

Scroll down in the share menu to find this option

Customize and Add
Edit the name if desired, then tap 'Add'
💡 The default name 'CodeEx AI' works perfectly
iOS Note
iOS PWAs have some limitations compared to Android. Features like push notifications and background sync are not available, but the core app experience works perfectly.

Troubleshooting
Common issues and solutions
❓ Don't see the install option?
- • Make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
- • Clear your browser cache and reload the page
- • Check that JavaScript is enabled
- • Try visiting the site in an incognito/private window
❓ App won't install on iOS?
- • Use Safari browser only - other browsers don't support PWA installation on iOS
- • Make sure you're tapping the share button (not the address bar)
- • Update to the latest iOS version if possible
❓ Installed app won't open?
- • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app
- • Clear browser data for codeex-ai.netlify.app
- • Check your internet connection
- • Restart your device
